HAUZ KHAS
The Spring / Summer 2023 Country Sports Line was shoot in the southern section of Dehli, at the Hauz Khas Complex.
Hauz Khas is one of India’s historical sites. In order to supply water to the Siri Fort, Alauddin Khilju built the
Hauz Khas Complex in 1284. The term Hauz Khas refers to the unique pond that was constructed in medieval times,
and its surrounded by a multitude of monuments, madrasas and mosques.
The colour palette for the Spring/Summer 2023 Country Sports Line reflects the patina of the Hauz Khas ruin and its beautiful aging
character. The main colours in the collection are vintage olive, khaki and prairie desert sand.
For Spring/Summer 2023, we present a new unique treatment and finishing on our suede wear. The goat suede has been
given a special treatment that gives the suede an antique beautiful melange patina finish. We refer to this unique treatment as
jungle stout suede. This treatment contributes to a very soft hand-touch on the leather.
This Spring/Summer 2023 we also present a small capsule collection within the Country Sports Line.
This small collection is made in khaki coloured durable cotton twill blended with olive coloured goat suede.
Khaki, the color, was first worn by the British Indian Army starting in 1846. It was the first introduction
of camouflage in official military uniforms. A perfected khaki dye was patented right before the
Second Boer War in 1899 and the color of the British uniform remained relatively unchanged
through World War II.
The new Country Sports Line are inspired by heritage desert uniforms from the British Indian Army
but re-designed and modernized for hunting or safari expeditions of today.
The ’Desert Hunter’ jacket has been inspired by British Indian Army jackets but we have also added some unique details from old
American ’Bird Hunting’ jackets from the 1960’s. The jacket has a very unique hidden back pocket for the birds/prey.
Most of the garments in our Country Sports Line has been treated with a protective paraffin wax.
The applied wax on the edges of details add higher durablity when used on the field or on the expedition, It also gives the
garments a beautiful worn-in patina. Explore our unique but classic hunting wear in forest green goat suede.
An addition this season to our classic range of shooting wear is the below shooting shirt ’JAEGER’ in
the same forest green goat suede with quilted patch in contrast camel coloured suede. A utility hard-wearing
shooting garment in impeccable handmade craftsmanship.
