The Country Sports Line from Coloniaire Autumn / Winter 2021 draws inspiration from the British country side, particularily from Caledonia - the former Roman name of Scotland.
The heritage from iconic field, army, expedition and hunting wear are visable throughout the collection, but have been updated in new fabrics, silhuettes and unique hand-sewn detailing . A contemporary and utility collection in meticulous craftsmanship for modern-day explorers in the city or for country side activities.

This photoshoot was accually shot in the heart of Gothenburg city. On a very short street called Dicksongatan. The street was namned in memory of the businessman and patron Oscar Dickson. Dickson especially supported geaographic and scientific research, including the Andrée Expedition. An expedition from Spitsbergen to Alaska and also the Vega Expedition .

The above outerwear are truly iconic garments that has been worn for many generations. The original parka was invented by the Greenlantic Inuits and the word simply means’animal skin’. It was originally made from seal skin coated with fish oil and lined with fur. The Parka was later copied by the US army and worn during World War II.
The iconic duffel coat above do many refer to as a ’ Montgomery’ coat after Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery who often wore one during World War II.

The Coloniaire shooting and hunting wear are weather repellent, hard wearing and yet stylish. The garments are made in exceptional goat suede and treated with a durable paraffin wax finish, to protect the garment when out on the field.

The above iconic safari or bush jacket in chestnut brown suede featuring traditional features that a safari jacket should have ,such as: waist belt, bellows pockets, windstopper latch and barell cuffs, durable parallell stitching for all details etc.
